Gathering Place White Peppers grow organically in the multi-tiered food forests of a Farmers’ Cooperative in Sri Lanka. Peppercorns are the fruit of an evergreen climbing vine, and they are most commonly seen winding up coconut trees, thriving in the partial shade. Black, white, and green peppercorns all come from the same plant, but they are harvested at different times and handled in different ways. Black peppercorns are soaked in water and then have the outer hull rubbed of leaving us the white peppercorn. Grind into your Asian cooking for an earthy flavour.
