Gathering Place Classic Hummus Recipe

Whether you’re dipping veggies, spreading it on sandwiches, or serving it alongside your favourite meals, this recipe brings together whole ingredients and bold flavour in every bite. Add a pinch of Gathering Place Chili Powder if you like a little heat!

Ingredients

  • 1 large can chickpeas (drained, reserve liquid) or 2 cups well-cooked chickpeas
  • ½ cup Organic Sesame Tahini
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tsp Gathering Place Ground Cumin
  • ½ tsp Antarctic Pure Sea Salt, or to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp of lemon
  • 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
  • Sprinkle of Smoked Paprika
  • Optional: 1/8–¼ tsp Gathering Place Chili Powder for a spicy kick

Directions

  1. Reserve half of the olive oil for on top of the finished hummus and add a sprinkle of smoked paprika for a finishing touch!
  2. Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor.
  3. Blend until smooth, adding a little reserved chickpea liquid or water as needed for a creamy texture.
  4. Taste and adjust salt or spice to preference.
  5. 🌶 For a zesty twist, blend in a pinch of our chili powder.
