Made from certified organic Rooibos tea from South Africa and organic spices from India, Honduras, and Sri Lanka, a cup of our Organic Chai Rooibos Tea is always warming, fragrant, and inviting.
We hand-blend this tea ourselves and we don’t skimp on the spices! In fact, our Chai Rooibos is half tea and half spices, making it full-bodied and hearty. The spices we use––true cinnamon, ginger, fennel, clove, black pepper, and cardamom–are exceptionally fresh, and always from the current year’s harvest. They are also directly and ethically sourced!
Smooth and naturally caffeine-free, Gathering Place Rooibos Chai brews to a dark rich colour and is naturally immune boosting.

Rooibos Chai can be made in several different ways. The traditional way is by boiling a pot of water on the stovetop and adding 1 tsp per cup of water. Bring the water to a boil and then simmer for a minimum of 10 minutes. Pour through a tea strainer (or small sieve) into a mug, adding milk or sweetener to taste. This results in a strong tasting brew that can be easily re-warmed. Milk and sweetener can be added to the pot on the stove top as well.
You can also make Rooibos Chai by the cup!. Boil water to 212 °F and add 1 tbsp per mug of tea to your favourite tea infuser or tea pot. Steep loose tea for 5-10 minutes and enjoy!

This blend has whole pieces of spices in it, you can see rounds of peppercorns, whole seeds of fennels and cloves. It’s how chai tea bland is supposed to be. I simmered it on the stove for 10 minutes like I was taught in a chai workshop and it gives an amazing cup of chai. The closest I can get to it is if I do my own blend from scratch. But this blend is also really well done, all the proportions of spices are just perfect, like someone said here - well balanced. I want to tell everyone about this chai tea!

This is by far the best rooibos chai tea! I have been drinking for many years. I have tried a lot of the different ones and this is very well balanced.

Thank you so much for this absolutely amazing tea! I got a small sample at a craft fair of your tea over a year ago and I promptly ordered a full 1kg. When I first received the bag I thought I will never be able to consume so much but I am about to run out. I have been giving friends samples of it because I enjoy it so much and want others to fall in love with it as well. I am ordering my second 1kg so I can enjoy this amazingly warm, fragrant, delicious tea over the winter curled up on my couch.
