Coastal Conservation

Living on Cortes Island and working in Campbell River has us commuting each week by ferry or, in the summer, by our own boat. We often see Humpbacks on our journey to 'town' and sometimes Orcas. We are filled with gratitude every time we see one of these gentle giants and are inspired by their magnificence.

We believe that BC's whale population is a real measure of the health of our oceans and the well being of our climate. That's why we are proud to support BC Whales through their "Sponsor a Whale" program.

For the last 20+ years, this organization has done fabulous work on our coast, including incredible research and conservation efforts. It feels amazing to be part of a "hands-on" effort to sponsor a humpback whale and make sure they return year after year.

Consider supporting a conservation project like BC Whales, Coastal First Nations, Raincoast Conservation Foundation, or Pacific Wild.
Our precious BC Coast needs your support!
