Our Organic Cardamom Seeds come from cardamom pods grown on a small scale, family owned farm in Honduras. Sweet, aromatic, and gently citrusy, our seeds offer a concentrated flavour that enhances both sweet and savoury dishes.

Hand harvested, non-irradiated, and non-GMO, it’s carefully handled to preserve its natural oils and rich aroma. Used whole or lightly crushed, the seeds release their beautiful flavour, making them well suited for teas, baking, and cooking.

Cardamom seeds are valued across global cuisines for their distinctive character and versatility. They serve as a key ingredient in several of our in-house blends, including Chai Spice, Apple Spice, and Garam Masala.

Our Honduran Partners

We import cardamom pods and seeds plus allspice berries from a family business in Honduras. Established in 1982, this small-scale company is committed to organic farming, which is the traditional way of their people. They are also passionate about shining a light on the products that come from their country and desire to share them with the rest of the world.

In recent years, due to two massive hurricanes that wiped out road infrastructure in 2020, both farming and getting products to market has become much more difficult. We feel proud to support a small-scale family operation in an area of the world that is struggling to meet many of the basic needs of their people.

In our Campbell River facility, we grind their cardamom seeds to create a cardamom powder and we use their allspice berries in our holiday blends. We are proud to sell Honduran cardamom pod, seed, powder, and allspice under our Gathering Place brand.
