At Gathering Place Trading, we have always prioritized sourcing the highest-quality, ethically grown herbs. While our rosemary was once cultivated on our farm on Cortes Island, climate change and increasing demand have made it challenging to continue growing it in Canada. It remains our preference to source locally whenever possible, but to ensure we can continue offering the finest organic rosemary, we now work with small-scale family farms in a cooperative in Spain’s Alicante and Murcia provinces.

These Mediterranean regions provide the ideal climate for rosemary to flourish, producing a fragrant, flavorful herb that is certified organic, naturally-dried, and bursting with essential oils. Perfect for seasoning roasted vegetables, grilled meats, and homemade breads, our rosemary is a versatile staple in any kitchen.

Gathering Place’s rosemary is sourced from a well-respected, long-standing family operation in the Mediterranean region of Spain. Rooted in tradition and cultivated with care, this partnership reflects generations of expertise in growing and drying aromatic herbs at their peak potency.

The farmers who supply this rosemary practice organic and sustainable agriculture, carefully tending the crop to ensure vibrant colour, high essential oil content, and full-bodied flavour. Our trading partner preserves that original purity -never introducing additives, fillers, or bulking agents.

The rosemary is gently harvested and air-dried to maintain its natural oils and distinctive aroma. The result is an authentic, robust herb that reflects both its terroir and the
integrity of the families who grow it.
