About Our Farmers in Sri Lanka

We partner with a family-owned company that works directly with small-scale Sri Lankan farmers and pays them a fair wage for their hard work! Sri Lankan farmers grow spices and other crops in integrated, sustainable, multi-tiered food forests, often referred to as “spice gardens.” It’s very common to see clove, nutmeg, and pepper growing together with coffee, banana, coconut, and vanilla. Our supplier educates their farmers about organic and biodynamic agriculture, empowers women farmers in the rural communities of Sri Lanka, and works to enhance the biodiversity of the farmland.
